Hello Parents,
It was great seeing some of you out for Program Night.

All of my classes are getting excited to participate as a school community in our Terry Fox Run on Friday Sept. 27. A donation of $2 or more would be greatly appreciated. All monies will be going towards the Terry Fox Foundation for cancer research. You can have your child bring in their donation or simply go to the Georges Vanier Website and make your donation through Cash-Online.

I have included the play-dough recipe at the request of my gr.4/5class. They certainly enjoyed making their covenant stones and pendants.

Both my classes of gr.6 will be making their glass jar lanterns. Please stay tuned

On Wed. Oct.9 at 7:00 p.m. there will be a meeting at the church for those gr.6 students wishing to make the sacrament of Confirmation.

The gr.4's will be receiving bibles from Father Matthew on Nov.12.

I hope you are enjoying this beautiful weather. Many blessings!

Hello Parents!

Welcome Back to a new school year!
Please check this blogspot on a monthly basis. I will have your child write in her or his agenda when a new post has been issued.

My grade 4/5 students in Ms. Beveridge's room will be looking at their grade's religious symbol(Gr. 4 stump, Gr.5 rock) and its meaning.

My gr.6 students in Mrs. Beard's room will be looking at their symbol (lantern) and its meaning.

All classes will then do a corresponding art activity relating of their symbol.

The grade 6"s will also be researching about Terry Fox in preparation for our school-wide run that will help to build school community. The time and date has not yet been determined.

I wll be teaching the Family Life component in the Religion progrm for Mrs.Cavar's gr. 6's. We will begin talking about commitment as it relates to Terry Fox in preparation for our run. All gr.6" are to bring in a clean glass jar to make their lantern. Thanks.

Please stay tuned.

Dear Parents,
We are getting close to the month of June. Spring has finally arrived!

The Grade 6's will be looking at the gifts of the Holy Spirit as well as reflecting on Theme 4 in Fully Alive on the importance of keeping commitments.

The Grade5's will also be looking at Theme 4 in Fully Alive about Commitments.

The Grade 4's will also be moving onto Theme 4 in Fully Alive about Commitments.

Our last Gospel Value is centred on Love both for
God and our neighbour. Father Matthew will be coming to visit the grade 4's on Thursday June 6th. This will be pretty exciting as the class wrote him letters thanking him for the bibles they received in September.

Happy Spring Everyone!
